Better protection if you trade in financial instruments
On 1 November 2007, a new law came into force which provides increased protection for all private individuals and companies which trade in financial instruments.
Only minor changes for our customers The law involves only minor changes for customers of Handelsbanken. You may have noticed that we have become extra careful in assuring that you have sufficient knowledge, experience and information to understand the risk involved in trading a financial instrument that you are interested in.
More about the new law The aim of the new law is to:
increase protection for customers by ensuring that they have the requisite knowledge of the area,
increase competition on the European securities market.
