How we work with digital accessibility

Everyone should be able to use our services

Digital accessibility is useful for everyone, but it is especially important for people who need support to take part in everyday life.

As a customer, you should be able to access our information and services, no matter your ability or situation. Our services should be robust. This means they should work on computers, mobile phones and other devices, with or without assistive technology.

We follow well-known international standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We also have our own brand and design guidelines.

Our accessibility

Here you will find information about how our services on our Group website meet the accessibility requirements.

For information regarding the services in our home markets, please refer to the local websites.

Digital accessibility means that you should be able to:

  • perceive, use and understand our offer, products and services
  • use our services on different devices
  • make use of assistive technology.

We get support to improve

To meet users' needs, we regularly get help from our customers, our internal guidelines and the industry.

Our customers

To develop inclusive services, we meet users from different groups who teach us how we can improve.

Do you have any suggestions or feedback? Feel free to share your ideas on how we can improve.

Internal guidelines

Our design system helps us develop and communicate the Bank's brand. In the system, we set rules for images, design and technical standards.

These guidelines help us make sure our services work in the same way – no matter where you meet us as a customer.

Industry organisations

As a member of the Swedish Bankers' Association, we can work with other banks on accessibility topics.

We are also co-founders and active members of the local council for IAAP Nordic (International Association of Accessibility Professionals). There, we share knowledge and experience in a Nordic context. IAAP offers certification for people who work with accessibility.

New law sets higher accessibility standards

We are working to make sure our digital platforms meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act. The directive requires banks to make their products and services accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. A disability can be permanent, temporary or depend on the situation.

The requirements apply from 28 June 2025. By this date, all EU countries must include it in their national laws. It applies to both public and private organisations, including banks. The directive sets rules to make sure services are accessible during the whole customer experience.
